Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one go without the need to change devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.

The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-filling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot vacuum reviews touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these smart features. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.

It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it's done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution.
